Sharmaine, a young Native American bareback horse racer, dreams of becoming a champion. It's been a year since her sister was paralysed in an accident on the track and Sharmaine quit racing to care for her. Now she wants to start afresh with her girlfriend Savannah and they leave the reservation in search of work in Denver, but racing still courses through her veins.
